Internship Information

Thank you for your interest in our agency.

****Our 2023-24 Intern Position has been filled****

We do accept interns at our site and integrate them into our treatment programs.

  • We prefer to accept interns who are in their second placement.

  • We provide individual supervision primarily by an LPCC therefore your educational institution would need to accept this license for on-site supervision.

  • A Life Link intern begins by shadowing one of our two intensive outpatient program groups.  They will gradually move toward independent facilitation with a licensed clinician present in the group.  Our substance use IOP takes place M/W/F 9am-12pm.  This intern is asked to conduct breathalyzers for those clients who are attending the group in person. Our mental health IOP takes place M/T/Thr 1pm-4pm.  Both groups are being offered in a hybrid model: some participants engaging in sessions by zoom and some in person. Each program also has an additional weekly team meeting that is 1.5 hours that the intern will attend.  Additionally, interns participate in our weekly group Treatment Team meeting with the rest of the clinical staff on Wednesdays @ 1pm.

In the later portion of the internship, the intern will be able to provide individual counseling to a small number of consumers.
