JODI DRINKWATER​

Jodi Drinkwater is a filmmaker, fashion artist, painter, creative writer, and performer who moved to Santa Fe from Wichita, Kansas in December of 2008. She lived for several years in her car and currently lives in federally-funded housing, due to the behavioral health disability she sustained as a result of the complex trauma she endured as a child and young adult.

 

Artist Statement: I am a scavenger who uses reclaimed items to create beautiful, street-influenced works of high art paintings, fashion art, and primitive steampunk jewelry. These works reflect the struggles I have gone through as a mentally ill, homeless woman in Santa Fe.
