The grantmaking committee for the COVID-19 Response Fund at the Santa Fe Community Foundation has awarded a $50,000 grant to The Life Link to assist renters with rental payment assistance during the COVID-19 crisis. This assistance will be open to all applicants regardless of whether or not they are current clients of Life Link.
“We feel privileged to provide additional resources to The Life Link to support those renting homes and finding themselves unable to pay their rent,” said William (Bill) Smith, President & CEO of the Santa Fe Community Foundation. “The Life Link is a trusted partner and long-time grantee of our Foundation and we know this grant will directly benefit our neighbors whose financial circumstances have been profoundly impacted by the pandemic,” continued Smith
Persons eligible for assistance must be occupying a rental within the four county region of Mora, Rio Arriba, San Miguel, and Santa Fe counties. These funds will also support undocumented renters where they may be ineligible for other forms of COVID-19 emergency assistance.
“We are so honored to partner with SFCF on this initiative and deeply appreciative for the funding and opportunity. This will enable us to provide critical support to many in the community as we negotiate this challenging time. It is wonderful to align our missions in support of this community” said Michael DeBernardi, PsyD, MS, CEO of The Life Link
The Life Link’s Housing department has been managing this kind of essential rental assistance and aid for the Santa Fe community for over 32 years. The team coordinates financial support for hundreds of individuals and families every month. For rental assistance during this time The Life Link is providing phone screenings. Call between 8:30am-4:30pm Monday through Friday. Direct lines: (505) 395-2531 or (505) 819-9901.

It’s truly uplifting to see support reaching people at the right moment. This kind of effort feels much like the Baruntse Expedition, where tough terrain, steady patience, and strong determination gradually turn challenges into meaningful progress, deep satisfaction, and lasting confidence in the mountains.
It’s inspiring to see support being offered when people need it most. In many ways, the journey feels similar to the Manaslu Circuit Trek, where difficult paths, patience, and determination slowly lead to rewarding moments, fresh hope, and a stronger future ahead.
This is such a meaningful initiative during a difficult time. Just like the Ghorepani Poon Hill trek brings hope and beautiful new views after every uphill climb, support like this helps families move toward brighter days with strength and confidence.
It’s like they draw smart lines, pour the water, and turn every sad glass into a smile in seconds - turning a worried renter’s day into a happy glass moment, you know?
I really appreciate this detailed guide on pradhan mantri jan dhan yojana. The way you explained the features, benefits, and eligibility criteria is excellent. This will definitely help people from rural and urban areas to become financially included.
