Psychosocial Rehabilitation Program (PSR)

Our program’s objective is to create opportunities for persons with mental health issues to recover, tap into their own resources and improve their general coping skills. We do so by creating environments that support recovery, self-efficacy, and empowerment, as well as assist in improving each person’s daily life.

We offer workshops were people can:

• finish their High School Education,
• learn how to use a computer,
• improve job related skills,
• re-discover creative outlets, such as crafts, journaling, and poetry,
• learn about nutrition and cooking
• and much more!

The specific groups we are offering at any given moment varies. In other words, the classes we are offering change regularly and we don’t have a set schedule. Please contact us to get information on what classes are open right now.

Ongoing weekly classes:

• GED preparation classes
• Computer skills development groups

Our program also trains peers to support other consumers in their recovery process. We offer a 108 hour long Peer Support Training and further specialization for graduates.

In these trainings, consumers are trained to work empowering others peers to recover. They learn skills to assist peers in different areas, such as housing, emotional support, recovery workshops, house visits and more.

We also provide Peer Support Services to clients. These services focus on life skill development, networking, emotional support, and advocacy.

Our staff is a combination of professionals and consumers, each bringing their own knowledge into the services we provide. We honor each person’s wisdom and life experience, this diversity gives us strength.
